Bruce Prefinished Floor Transformation

Completed this Bruce prefinished floor transformation. Started with a 36-grit Norton Blaze belt on the Hummel, fine-tuned with the Bona Power Drive, and brought it to life with DuraSeal Rustic Beige. Finished it off with a smooth coat of Loba Satin Poly for that rich, durable look.

The Challenge

Bruce prefinished floors have a factory-applied aluminum oxide finish that is extremely difficult to sand through, requiring aggressive initial cuts to reach bare wood.

Our Solution

We started with a 36-grit Norton Blaze belt on the Hummel to cut through the tough factory finish, then fine-tuned with the Bona Power Drive for a smooth surface. DuraSeal Rustic Beige stain was applied for a warm tone, sealed with Loba Satin Poly for durability.
